Along with his guidance and coaching, Bill also sings in a number of choirs, including the Canadian Chamber Choir which has been nominated for a Juno Award this year. The Canadian Chamber Choir is a group of some of Canada's finest choral singers who get together once a year in a professional choral environment to nurture their gifts and give their talents to the communities in which they perform. This year's nomination is for their Sacred Reflections of Canada - A Canadian Mass album in the Classical Album of the Year Vocal or Choral Performance. As part of that nomination, Bill has joined the Juno Cup, a celebrity fundraising hockey game in support of MusiCounts, where NHL Greats and Canadian musicians face off in a fun, competitive hockey game on April 1 in Calgary.
Adam Furfaro, Executive Director of Rosebud Centre of the Art says, "Rosebud Alberta boasts the largest number of choirs per capita in Canada, I would imagine. With six choirs in a hamlet of around 100 people, there is a lot of wonderful music being made in the valley. We are particularly fortunate to have Bill Hamm on staff and he ensures that the students of Rosebud School of the Arts receive the very best on choral training." He adds, "We are proud of Bill and his participation in the Canadian Chamber Choir and their Juno niomination. It speaks to the type of experiential, mentor based training that goes on in our school.
See Bill in action leading the Rosebud Choirs at the Spring Concert on March 20th at the Rosebud Church at 3:00pm. Admission is by freewill offering.
